I opened Green Lane Animal Hospital in June of 2008 and hired Beyond Indigo to design my website. I researched many companies, including the Lifelearn and VIN sites, but wanted something individualized that would capture the true spirit and focus of my clinic. We purchased Edgewood in February of 2008 and inherited the old website, which was poorly done. It was not until I began my journey with Beyond Indigo that I realized just how important the website would be to our practice. Our clients are not only impressed, but the key is, they are impressed enough to refer our site to their friends and family! I was nervous at first, afraid that these “web people” didn’t understand veterinary medicine. Beyond Indigo surprised me with a working knowledge of the unique interworking of veterinary medicine and were able to couple them with their expertise in web based marketing. Typically, we veterinarians focus primarily on our medicine, but sometimes fail to remember that the message needs to get to the client in order to help the pet! Face it, we’re a media based society – my clients have commented on how great it was to be directed to our website to view a video on, as an example, the periodontal disease we just diagnosed her pet with. Our compliance rate has tripled!
I, like many, thought about creating a site of my own. Not only do self created sites look like, well, a veterinarian created them, but I would have been responsible for writing 100% of the content. Who has time for that? The pet care information provided by Beyond Indigo made its development that much easier. It gave me a sense of comfort to know I was in charge of what content was placed on the site, but relieved to know they had a basic outline for me to follow. We tweaked the verbage and made minor adjustments to streamline information so it follows our hospital policy and philosophy. I wanted our website to mirror our commitment to quality medicine and advanced care and have not been disappointed. I suppose I feel as though people are going to judge you by your website, we’re making sure it is as edgy and professional as we are.
The online pharmacy allows us to compete with the convenience of the online pet pharmacies, while still being able to ensure quality product is being dispensed. Our online store keeps them coming back for their supplies. Society today seems to have an I want it here and now mentality, but don’t want to get out of their pajamas to do it. Our website has something for everyone.
Content changes are really simple too. Even for the web impaired like myself. You just log onto a site, make the request and boom -> it’s done. Keeps our site fresh and frequent visitors coming back.

We are very pleased with our experience with Beyond Indigo. Specifically, we were most impressed with the fact that they took all of our feedback and suggestions and used them to come up with the designs and content. We were nervous that we may be shut out of that part of the development.
We never had any issues with getting in touch with someone from BI, even late in the evening. They gave us several design options to choose from, as well as various uses of the content. The development process went very smoothly, the only reason the deadline was extended was because we (Final Gift) came up with some late additions to the site. If not for those changes, we would have been up and running prior to the deadline.
We continue to be impressed with them and their customer service. If we have a question, or an issue occurs, or we need to make a site modification; we can send comments to the appropriate BI contact and the response time is usually less than 24 hours. For issues that require immediate response someone is always available to answer one of the phone numbers provided.
We continue to receive compliments from customers on the ease of use of the site.
One last comment, we received an unexpected package last week with 3,000 site business cards. They were fantastic, and unexpected.

I really like my new website. This is actually my second website; my first website was with a provider who did cookie-cutter sites. They were not as responsive as Beyond Indigo has been. Face it, veterinarians need babysitters when it comes to our websites, Beyond Indigo usually responds to any questions or issues that I might have within a day.
