90 Points of Failure – Surviving IT Infrastructure Failures

Wednesday, February 8 at 1:45 p.m. – Room W224CD

Do you know what your down time tolerance is, or why you should know this? Do you know how the answer to that question can impact your infrastructure design? Or what budget you should have earmarked for your practice, as it relates to your electronic infrastructure?  With over 90 points of failure identified within a veterinary practice’s IT infrastructure, it’s important to know your practice’s risk.

This session will cover the 90 points of failure and the preventative measures you can take to avoid business interruption. We will also discuss how that relates to what you should set aside each year in your budget so that you don’t get left discovering just how much downtime can mean to your practice – in both revenue and patient care.

Technology Doesn’t Have to Be Scary

Wednesday, February 8 at 2:45 p.m. – Room W224CD

This presentation covers how to strengthen the technology infrastructure used in your practice. It will help point out common areas of concern, as well as areas to consider with regard to infrastructure changes based on goals and future predictions within the practice.

From investing in the right equipment to ensuring that you have the proper power sources and backup systems in place, this session is designed to help you consider your practice’s long-term technology goals, how to protect the tech you have, and how to budget for the future.

There Is Something Missing and It Could End In Disaster!

Wednesday, February 8 at 3:55 p.m. – Room W224CD

As business moves into an increasingly paperless environment, data protection has become more important than ever for veterinary practices. There are many ways to protect your veterinary practice’s data, but where do you start?

This session will address the fear of going paperless, including the fear of losing data. We’ll explore the pros and cons of traditional hardcopy data information storage and how that compares to electronic data storage and protection.

We hope to see you at this year’s conference, both in session and on the floor. Beyond Indigo will be at booth 929 to discuss your veterinary practice’s digital marketing and data needs – and how we can help you meet your goals for 2017 and beyond.

We look forward to visiting with old friends and clients, as well as meeting new ones – stop and say hi!
