5 Tips to Help Make a Splash this Summer by Marketing to Existing Clients

Vacations, warmer weather, and fun outdoor activities are a great part of summer. It’s also a great opportunity to include some fun seasonal marketing to encourage business year-round and remind existing customers you are there for them in every season.

Don’t let your marketing efforts take a summer vacation this year! Here are some easy tips to help your summer social media marketing make a splash:

Talk About Your Hours

Even if your summer hours don’t change, the changing of seasons is a great opportunity to remind your clients that you are open and taking appointments. Create a cute summer graphic with your hours and availability, or simply share a post with a happy, summery photo with your hours in the caption to let them know you are here for them. It will grab your audience’s attention and put a smile on their face.

It could also be a good opportunity to remind your customers of any new or updated COVID-19 protocols, or any days you might be closed for a summer holiday.

Share Fun Photos or Videos of Your Practice

Now is a great chance to take adorable pictures of your patients and your staff enjoying the summer season. You can include fun props like sunglasses, beach towels, and toys.  Or snap a picture of your favorite pet lounging by the pool or doing their favorite summer activity! A short video of a pup enjoying a frozen summer treat is not only super cute, but is an opportunity for you to share more about your wellness care and nutritional services. Plus, your customers will love to see your happy, smiling faces and the pets in your office enjoying themselves, too. It will help with your engagement online and continue to drive traffic to your website

Talk About Safety

With summer comes the dangers of heat stroke, hot cars, hot pavement, water safety concerns, and so much more. It’s a great opportunity to remind your clients about the dangers of the season on social media and your website. Not only does it help keep more pets safe, but it also reminds pet owners that you are a great resource for these questions and safety topics.

You can go more in depth about these important summer safety topics in your blog, which will help drive traffic to your website and also encourage people to read more about your practice. Plus, blogs are great for including SEO keywords and reminding Google that your website is updated regularly.

Prepare for Fall

After summer, some practices may see a bit of a slow down as the back-to-school season starts up and people return to their routines. Prepare now ahead of time for your fall’s marketing plan. Get your preventive reminders ready, write your fall safety blogs, and decide your Google Ads budget. Scheduling and preparing these things ahead of time will leave you with more time for client communication and retention in your practice.

Remind Your Clients to Come See You

Summer is the perfect time to set up a reminder system to touch base with clients who haven’t come to see you in a while. Whether you send out postcards or have an automated system like our marketing performance dashboard, reaching out to current clients is a great way to get them back through your doors.
